Kashmiri MBBS Student Dies In Bangladesh
A Kashmiri girl student from south Kashmir’s Anantnag district died in Bangladesh where she was pursuing MBBS. Her family has appealed to J-K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to help them get her body back home.
The deceased student has been identified as Khusboo Manzoor daughter of Manzoor Ahmad of Katoo village of Bijbehara. She was pursuing Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.
She died after allegedly falling off from the hostel building of the college.
Family sources said that she was shifted to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The family appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs and J-K government to help them to bring the student’s body back for the last rites.
The family was unable to reach Bangladesh as the family members do not have the adequate documents to travel to Bangladesh, a relative of the deceased told a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT).
This is the second such incident in Bangladesh. In January this year, an MBBS student Seema Zehra of Zaber Mohalla in Budgam district had died in her college hostel after suffering from cardiac arrest. (KNT)
