An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight that broke out between government forces and militants in Rambagh area of Srinagar on Monday morning.
An official said that an unidentified militant was killed in an exchange of fire in the ongoing operation at Rambagh. Earlier, the Joint team of forces had launched CASO following inputs about the presence of militants in the area by SOG of J&K police and CRPF.
“As forces zeroed the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter in which one militant was killed.” He said intermittent firing is going on from both sides and operation is underway.
