Srinagar: In a pioneering effort, the Intas Foundation Srinagar, in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, hosted a specialized Hemophilia Physiotherapy Camp at the Hemophilia Day Care Centre, SMHS Hospital, Srinagar. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various hemophilia patients.
The camp was organised with a motive to Empower patients with knowledge and skills to manage hemophilia effectively. Focus on preventive care beyond factor dependency.
On the occasion Dr. Ahmed Javed from Apollo Clinic shared valuable insights on physiotherapy.He meticulously assessed each patient’s specific needs.Pertinently Personalized guidance was provided to each patient exercises, manual therapy, and self-care techniques and physiotherapy kits were distributed among patients for practicing physiotherapy at home.
Dr. Asifa, the medical officer at the Hemophilia Center, emphasized the importance of tailored care.
The Intas Foundation Srinagar Hemophilia Patient Assistance Program, initiated in 2023, has significantly improved patients’ quality of life.Patients now have access to physiotherapy kits for home exercises.
