Srinagar: Block Development Chairperson (BDC) was on Wednesday shot dead by suspected militants in Khag area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
According to reports BDC chairman Bhupinder Singh left his PSOs in police station Khag this evening and left ancestral home alone without informing Station House Officer khag.
Meanwhile soon after the attack the area was cordoned off by the security forces.
A police officer confirmed the killing of Bhupinder singh and said man hunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
Earlier BJP activist from Bandipora along with his father and brother was shot dead by militants.
