A team of Beacon personnel of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) on Saturday rescued passengers stuck in a snowstorm at Razdan Pass on Gurez-Bandipora highway.
Officials said that two Sumo cabs carrying passengers were on the way to Gurez when a snowstorm hit the highway at high altitude Razdan Pass.
“The snow storm had hit the highway with high speed and the vehicles were stuck deep into the snow. It needed a lot of efforts and expertise to rescue passengers and safely remove vehicles” said an official. All the passengers and vehicles were safely brought back to Bandipora..
