Coronavirus: Primary schools closed in Jammu, Samba until March 31 

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday ordered the closure of all primary schools in Jammu and Samba districts until March 31 in view of two suspected cases of COVID-19 reported from the region, officials said.

“Test reports of the 2 suspected patients from Jammu received. Both high viral load cases.High probability of testing positive. Both suspected cases were kept in isolation at GMC Jammu. Stable. All protocols being followed,” said a government spokesperson.

The spokesman said both the persons had earlier left hospital against medical advice and had to be brought back. “We appeal to the public to cooperate fully wherever quarantine is advised,” added the spokesperson.

The government, he added, has also suspended biometric attendance in all departments across J&K till March 31.
