109 people have died of coronavirus in India, with 32 dying and 693 fresh cases in the last 24 hours alone, the highest so far.
The latest figures from the Union Health Ministry takes the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country past the 4,000-mark, to 4,067 cases.
This is for the fourth consecutive day that India has registered an increase of 500-plus cases. Over 1,000 of India’s total cases, or nearly 30 per cent of the total cases, are connected to the event organised by the Tablighi Jamaat of muslims in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area last month.
