Despite hardships, Pulwama boy Penned his first book ‘Fib Of A Dreamer’

Pulwama: Meet twenty-one years old Junaid Altaf hailing from the Prichoo area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District, who published his first book ‘Fib of a dreamer’ despite facing several hardships.

The book is about the life of a young boy Ayaan, who lives his life against all odds, stereotypes and stigmas of caste, status, money, and more prevailing in society.

Since his childhood, Junaid was inclined towards writing. He has a dream to write a book and after he penned the book, he said, he accomplished his dream. “My parents are feeling proud after I published my book,” he said.

Since his childhood, Junaid was fond of writing, and during his school days, he always keeps himself busy in writing. However, due to financial constraints, Junaid faced many hardships in his endeavors.

Junaid in 8th standard shifts from a private school and admitted himself to a government school keeping in view the financial constraints of his family.

After passing 10th class he was willing to opt for the Arts subjects. But his parents compelled him to take medical subjects. “They thought that there is no future in arts subjects or writing a book.”

After the 12th exams, he spent two years to prepare for NEET exams, but he failed.

After that, he opted Linguistics and English literature as his subjects in BA course. In 2019 he wrote a fiction book that is related to some extent with the same struggle he passed through.

To publish his book, Junaid went from pillar to post. “He takes debt from his friend to publish his book,” he said. “Struggle is a part of life; a person wins only after fighting with struggle. My parents did not support me in the beginning and I will never blame them as this is ill- Thinking of our society,” Junaid said. He added, In the future, “I will make humble attempts to write more books that will shed light on the overall development of people.”
