Five injured in leopard attack in Handwara

HANDWARA: Five people were injured in a leopard attack at Poharpath village in north Kashmir’s Handwara area on Wednesday Evening.
The local of Handwara said that a leopard entered their locality and attacked five people, Who were shift the to nearby hospital.
A 60-year-old woman was attacked by a leopard after that she was admitted to the district hospital Handwara.
The people made loud noises after which the leopard attacked 4 more people, they suffer injuries among them two are more serious as per sources.
The injured persons are identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganaie, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, and Gulshan Begam.
Meanwhile, Police post-Chogal along with the wildlife department reached the spot and trapped the leopard.
