Four militants killed in 3 separate encounters in Kashmir, one arrested alive
IGP says 2 JeM militants including Pak national killed in Pulwama, one LeT militant each in Ganderbal and Handwara
Srinagar: At least four militants have been killed in three separate encounters in Pulwama, Ganderbal and Handwara areas of the Kashmir valley, police said here.
An official told that two militants have been killed in Chewakalan area of Pulwama during an overnight gunfight.
He said that both militants belonged to JeM outfit, while searches were going on in the area.
Meanwhile, in an another operation a militant was killed in Nunar area of Ganderbal district after an encounter broke out in the area late last night.
The official said that the slain militant belong to LeT militant outfit, while operation was going on.
One more militant of LeT outfit was killed in Nechama locality of Rajwara in Handware area after an encounter broke out in the area late last night.
Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that they had launched joint operations at 4-5 locations yesterday night.
“So far 2 militants of JeM including 01 Pakistani killed in Pulwama, 1 militant of LeT killed each in Ganderbal & Handwara. Encounters over in Handwara & Pulwama. One militant has been arrested alive,” he said. (KNS)
