Sensitisation programme on COVID-19 preparation before opening of schools organized in Shopian

Shopian: As the educational institutions in Kashmir is set to reopen from the first week of March, the sensitization program on Covid preparation for the opening of school institutions was held on Wednesday here in Shopian.

The heads of educational institutes were informed regarding comprehensive SOPs to be followed in the wake of the opening of schools.

The programme was organized by District Disaster Management Authority, Shopian in joint collaboration with Divisional Covid-19 Control Room and School Education Department.

On this occasion, Chairman, DDMA, Shopian Shrikant Suse highlighted that motive behind organizing such program developing comprehensive SOPs on School Safety including Covid-19 prevention and control, safe re-opening of schools and mid-day meals.

Earlier, a detailed presentation was given to all participants by Dr Rabbani Tariq i/c IEC from Divisional Covid-19 Control Room regarding SoPs and safety measures to be followed while reopening schools.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Chief Education Officer, Dy.CEO, Principals, ZEOs and heads of private schools participated in the programme.
