Six Kashmiris released from Agra jail,quarantined in Tral

Srinagar: Six Kashmiri youth released from Uttar Pradesh’s Agra Jail reached their native town Tral in South Kashmir pulwama district on Monday where they were quarantined in a school.

Over 200 Kashmiri’s were detained in different jails of Uttar Pradesh among which some have been released. These arrests were made following the abrogation of special status of Jammu and Kashmir in August last year.

Official sources told that six people, all hailing from south Kashmir’s Tral town, who were booked under Public Safety Act in Agra Jail were released, but shortly after reaching Tral, they were quarantined for a period of two weeks in a private school.


Those who were released and reached Tral include Farooq Ahmed Bhat (45), son of Muhammad Akbar Bhat of Larrow Jager, Ajaz Ahmed Tali (35), son of Ghulam Nabi, Muhammad Rafiq Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmed of Tral-e-Payeen, Muzaffar Ahmed Baba (44), son of Ghulam Muhammad, Bilal Ahmed Bhat (26), son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Larrow Jager and Muzaffar Ahmed Bhat (53) son of Muhammad Rafiq of Tral-e-Payeen.
