Advisor Baseer Khan Visits Ganderbal, reviews revival of developmental works, inspects facilities at Covid care centre JNV Hatbura

GANDERBAL: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan today took whirlwind tour of district Ganderbal to have firsthand appraisal of resumption of MGNREGA works in the district besides inspected the facilities at JNV Hatbura.

The Advisor was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ASP Ganderbal besides officials from RDD and health department.

During the visit, the Advisor took stock of several works which have resumed including de-silting of important irrigation canals and khuls. He reviewed the progress of work on Zamindari Khul near Nursing College Darind Nagbal and Malshahibagh.

The concerned BDO apprised the Advisor that most of works are under progress especially de-silting of important irrigation canals and khuls which are prioritized by the department keeping in view the irrigation season.

While reviewing the de-silting process the advisor urged that workers/labours should follow the protocols put in place in view of the COVID 19 like maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks.

Later, Advisor visited JNV Hatbura, Ganderbal which is designated as COVID Care centre (400 bedded) and inspected availability of logistics and other allied facilities being put in place for inmates.

On the occasion, the Advisor took round of the JNV Hatboora and inspected the facilities being put in place including logistics, electricity, sanitation in and around the center, availability of personal hygiene gears, bedding, health care facilities and other related arrangements.
While reviewing the facilities being put in place, he exhorted upon the concerned to ensure all the facilities are as per SOP laid down for COVID Care Centre.

He stressed for providing sufficient protective gear to front line workers including doctors, medical staff and police who are at the forefront for containing the infection.

While reviewing the resumption of permissible activities in Lockdown 4.0 for orange zones, He directed the Deputy Commissioner and ASP Ganderbal to ensure protocol is followed strictly by all shopkeepers and commuters like maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks besides unnecessary gathering in the markets should be avoided.
