“Prevention is better than cure” doctors routinely advise, insisting that crowding is a key to the spread of the virus infection. Restriction movement and social distancing is the main reason, they assert.

In order to send the message faster and better a group of doctors assembled in a hospital ward of the district hospital Kupwara and click a photograph with handwritten messages in their hands. “Stay at home and help us please”, one message says.

Officials said that though the footfalls in the hospitals have gone drastically down, it still is in good numbers. Crowding has the potential of helping the virus spread fast. Major government offices in including the civil secretariat at Jammu have restricted access for people. Srinagar Municipal Corporation has closed down its offices already. Schools have already been closed.

These were the keys reason why authorities ordered the closure of public transport, one of the major factors for virus spread. All these actions are preventive. The Coronavirus infection has not any cure so far.
