COVID-19: Srinagar reports 259 new cases, tally crosses 12000 in J&K

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 490 new COVID-19 infections, taking the overall tally past 12000 mark. Among the fresh cases include 89 from Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and 10 from army’s  Badami Bagh Cantonment here.

Officials said that 62 cases were reported from Jammu and 428 from Kashmir Valley even as 109 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals.

Giving district-wise details, Global News Service a local news gathering agency reported that, Srinagar reported 259 cases, Baramulla 18, Kulgam 21, Shopian 42, Anantnag 6, Kupwara 3, Pulwama 32, Budgam 34, Bandipora 2 and Ganderbal 11.

Similarly, they said, Jammu reported 14 new infections, Udhampur 3, Kathua 2, Rajouri 33, Samba 8 and Doda 2. (GNS)
