Day after Baramulla grenade blast, two persons held

Two persons allegedly involved in grenade throwing attack in Baramulla have been arrested by police during a nocturnal raid, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS), quoting unidentified sources on Tuesday.

At least seven civilians were injured in the grenade blast in North Kashmir district on Monday. The sourced told the agency that the persons were identified soon after the attack and were arrested during the nocturnal raid in Baramulla town by the police.

In a statement, the police had said that the militants had thrown a grenade at an Army convoy at Azad Gunj area in the district. However, the grenade missed the target and exploded on the roadside, injuring seven persons, who were latter hospitalized. (GNS)
